Constantly introduce myself new esthetic codes in order to express a personal language in a permanent evolution a particular vision of the world. My painting and installations alter and exchange our natural conventions in such a way that the expression of emotion is profoundly personal. MY artwork conjoins passion, sensuality , critical view and a constantly evoked perspective of impeachment that pretends to leave a footprint which echoes in society. Inter wined feelings for a past and, a present witch demonstrates a reality with an exponential complexity on the helplessness and finitude of the human being.

The shapes of the pieces in this installation play with the meaning of the robe that have been forged as protective vestment for the protection of the woman in a society that does not allow to reveal the nature of human corporality without the possibility of being in danger; as practices that we incur to safeguard our integrity against threats from outside. Seen this way, this vestment become mobile circles of protection that accompany women as a gender and as individuals, to keep their distance from the others, from danger, and thus protect them from their own fragility in the face of the world. The material, security tape, generally used in places where accidents or violent events have occurred, is redefined through these pieces, delimiting a protective space: the traditional connotation of “danger / prohibited or don´t pass” of the material is transformed to delimit circles of protection for women, robes that tend to hide and protect from gazes and dangers, an evocation of personal space but also, in a broader sense, the sacred space where women gather to find protection and shelter among their peers. As the ritual aspect of the circular shapes is reinforced by the knitting, this traditionally feminine technique, symbolizes the communal space for sharing, and healing, that strengthen ties between women.
At a time when protests over gender-based violence in our country were suddenly silenced by an unpredictable enemy, a global pandemic that has forced women to confine themselves to their homes, many of them with their aggressors, it is essential to maintain the consciousness of a reality that unfortunately does not disappear.
An opportunity has aroused in this unfortunate circumstance allowing us to recognize ourselves in a sisterhood, generating spaces of solidarity for protection.
This installation pretends to make an allusion to the violent scenes reflected in gender violence with the usage of security tapes as main material. At the same time reflecting the existence of sisterhood between women, with the creation of ritual spaces as a protective magic against the daily threats represented in our daily life.
